Topic: Sloping Agricultural Land Technology: Enhancing Soil Structure for Sustainable Reforestation.

This session will explore how Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT) contributes to improving degraded soil structure and supports reforestation efforts. We will examine the principles of SALT, its techniques for soil improvement, and its integration with reforestation projects. Through in-farm case studies, we will address implementation challenges, discuss strategies for sustainable adoption, and highlight successful applications of SALT in various contexts.

Almarie brings nine years of hands-on farming experience in the southern Philippines, specializing in agricultural management on sloping and rolling terrain. Throughout her career, she has implemented Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT) as a cornerstone of their soil and water conservation strategy. In her current position as Community Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) Project Manager, Almarie oversees the farm while simultaneously managing three active CSA initiatives: two sustainable gardening projects in different communities, and a backyard chicken raising program.
